Doncaster Works open day on 22nd July 1992, provided the sight of a number of Class 101 DMU'S awaiting stripping prior to cutting. Hidden away was Class 47/8 No. 47852. This was the first long range fuel tank (47/8)withdrawn. It moved onto Booth Roe at Rotherham within the month and aparently, was finally disposed of by them in March 1993.
