BR Standard 4MT 4-6-2 No. 80079, seen here on display in the Highley Engine House, used to run between London and Southend-on-Sea. On 30th January 1958 a danger signal was missed in thick fog, and 80079 crashed into the back of another train near Dagenham, killing 10 passengers in the rear carriage. After electrification of the line the locomotive was transferred to Wales, and finally rescued from Barry scrapyard in 1971. Seen here at the Severn Valley Railway on 19th June 2010.
