Hired in NatExEC HST powercars Nos. No. 43309 and 43329 speed through Wedgwood on 22nd August 2009 on Cross Country's 07.00 Manchester Piccadilly-Newquay SummerSO service. In common with Barlaston a mile further south, Wedgwood has seen no trains stopping there for 7 or more years but has never been officially closed. This location is now no longer available as NR have fenced the platforms off during 2010.
