Whilst major engineering works are carried out at Reading over the Christmas and New Year holiday, FGW are running one London Bristol and one London Swansea service per hour in each direction via the Chiltern line with a reversal at Banbury. On 27th December 2010, Class 43 powercar No. 43160 leads 1C13, the 10.45 Paddington to Bristol through High Wycombe, around 20 minutes late.
