Kennett signal box will close with the passage of the last train on Friday 11th November 2011. Just over 4 weeks prior to the boxes demise No. 66524 is seen passes at 15.35 on the 7th October 2011 with 0Z71 the 12.09 Peterborough - Ipswich light engine move. New signalling controlled from Bury St Edmunds will improve headways and should avoid the delay of 5 minutes suffered by this loco waiting for the section ahead to clear.
