It seemed like a good idea at the time but even at Midday at this time of the year the sun is so low that shadows are a major problem. Operated by BAR and in DCR livery, No. 56311 is observed at Netherfield Junction on the eastern outskirts of Nottingham. The loco was performing a light engine move from Washwood Heath to Harwich Parkestone Quay Yard prior to returning from the latter the following day with a load of redundant wagons for scrapping at Kingsbury. The working, 0Z31, is seen slightly ahead of time at 12.01 on Wednesday 30th November 2011.
