I nearly didn't even get out of the car to photograph this working. I'd sat further up the line waiting for it to arrive but when it blackened over to near night time conditions and the rain started pouring down I decided to give up on the photo and drove to this location just to watch it amble by. At the last moment I decided to stick the ISO setting on 1600 and give it a whirl and while hardly a classic, I quite like the grainy feel and the way the headlight and colour lights in the distance become so prominent. The working is 6M08 the 13.16 Boston Docks - Washwood Heath steel headed by 47727 and is seen passes Attenborough on the outskirts of Nottingham at 15.50 on Friday 27th January 2011.
