Introduced into service in September 1962 and originally numbered D1500, the pioneer Class 47 No. 47401 North Eastern is seen waiting to work the 14:10 to Wymondham Abbey, on 23rd September 2012. The locomotive was visiting the Mid-Norfolk Railway as part of the Class 47 Golden Jubilee event that was held between the 21st and 23rd.
