Class 33 No. 33008 waits at Strood with a snow plough attached each end, to pick up an Inspector, to go and clear the Branch to the Isle of Grain, which had been cut off by snow for 4 days on 17th January 1987, unfortunately it failed when ploughing the first drift, an axle on the lead plough came off and had to be left until the snow went, to be rescued.
