Every country has its most powerful locomotives, but not many countries can beat Swithzerland's Re6/6 of the SBB. These monster electrics, often paired as seen here with a smaller Re4/4, pack an enormous tractive effort for the arduous climbs of the Lotschberg and Gotthard routes. Re6/6 No. 11666 'Stein am Rhein' and unknown accompanying Re4/4 are seen at Brig on a Lotschberg bound intermodal.
