The third day of the Railway Touring Company's mammoth tour 'The Great Britain VI' took the participants from Cardiff to Preston running northbound up the Heart of Wales line on 22nd April 2013. For the second consecutive day haulage was in the very capable hands of two LMS Black 5s and this image shows No. 44871 leading No. 45407 at Llandarcy on the Swansea District Line with 1Z70 the 08:41 departure from the Principality's capital city. To the right of the image May be seen the severed rail link to the former Llandarcy oil refinery.
