Two TCDD Middle East 2-8-2s, running tender first with a passenger service for Zonguldak come to grief on 10th October 1977 when they collided with a taxi on an ungated crossing near Caycuma. Both locomotives, Nos. 46201 and 46215 derailed and the line remain blocked for 48 hours.
