The rack equipped metre gauge Martigny-Chatelard(MC)is unique in its operation in Swithzerland. It operates on the overhead system from Martigny to Vernayez but from there uses an outside 3rd conductor rail. At Le Chatelard it makes an end on connection with the SNCF metre gauge line from St Gervais. MC Railcar No.BDeh4/4 No. 4 with trailer rests at the frontier station at Le Chatelard having just arrived on the 8.59 from Martigny on 28th February 1995.
