It is still possible to see and ride the SNCF 170xx electric locomotives which were built in 1965-68. They work commuter trains in push-pull mode to Pontoise and Mantes ls Jolie at least. They can also be seen at Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est on commuter trains and carriage workings. Time is running out for them with the introduction of new electric trains of the class Z 50000 series.
