Very early days of the Didcot Railway Centre. Shortly after its arrival at the site, Collett 'Manor' Class 4-6-0 No. 7808 'Cookham Manor' works the exhibition line train on 19th September 1970. The loco was new from Swindon Works in March 1938 and initially allocated to Old Oak Common. On withdrawal from Gloucester Horton Road MPD in December 1965 it was purchased directly from British Railways by a member of the Great Western Society. The loco was stored for a period of time at Ashchurch before moving to Didcot during August 1970.
