On 9th September 2015, South-West Trains Class 444 No. 444042 pulls into Pokesdown Station with a service from London Waterloo to Weymouth. In the background can be seen the unpopular 42 steps that lead from the platform to the road-level, above, and the long-disused lift that is the subject of a campaign for its renewal.
