An unidentified Class 108 DMU crosses Pontrhydyfen viaduct and enters the station with a train for Swansea, on 11th June 1962. The former Rhonda & Swansea Bay Railway route was closed on December 3rd 1962. The 10 span viaduct still stands and was given Grade 11 listed status in March 2000.
