Class 52 No. D1015 'Western Champion' passes Crofton with the non-stop Paddington to Plymouth leg of Pathfinder Tour's 'The Western Challenger' charter on 7th May 2016. After arrival at Plymouth the charter reversed and continued to Okehampton before a further reversal and a run back to London Waterloo via the ex-LSWR route. The Western had dual identities for the day, displaying No. D1010 'Western Campaigner' on one side and No. D1058 'Western Nobleman' on the other.
