On May 12th ex GNR(I) compound locomotive No. 85 'Merlin' brought the RPSI owned set of MkII carriages from Whitehead in Co Antrim to Dublin Connolly in connection with the weekend steam tour Dublin-Westport-Dublin-Belfast over three days. 85 and the Mk IIs will only operate on the Dublin- Belfast part of the route. The 1932 built 4-4-0 was one of five built to work the Dublin-Belfast expresses.
