New from Crewe Works on 19th March 1960 as Class 24 No. D5081, the locomotive was originally allocated to March Depot but quickly transferred to Willesden on 2nd April and spent the rest of her working life with the London Midland Region, before being withdrawn from Stoke Division on 5th October 1980 as No. 24081. Now residing at Toddington on the GWSR, the locomotive is seen here on 22nd October 2016 approaching Toddington station with the 12:05 service from Cheltenham Race Course.
