When BR introduced DMUs, drivers eyes views of the road ahead were suddenly possible all over the country and the front seats became very popular. This image, taken on 11th March 1987, was taken from an unidentified Haymarket MPD 3 car Class 101 working a northbound service from Edinburgh Waverley to the Fife Coast as it crossed the Forth Bridge meeting another Haymarket allocated Class 101, set No. 101365, heading south towards Edinburgh.
