On 7th May 2017, the final day of 'The Great Britain X', the train is double headed from Penzance to Paddington via Bristol, by West Country Class Pacific No. 34046 'Braunton' (running as No. 34052 'Lord Dowding') and LMS Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46100 'Royal Scot'. Under an overcast sky, the pair are seen alongside the River Teign on the approach to Teignmouth.
