The 5th June 1988 finds the remains of Class 20 No. 20039 resting in the final cutting area of Vic Berry's scrapyard in Leicester with the remains of a Class 116 DMU vehicle behind and a stack of Mark 1 Sleeping Cars in the background. The cab of the Class 20 had been removed and was elsewhere in the yard.
