Originally built as an 0-4-0PM by Baldwin in 1918 (believed to be Works No. 49604), for service with the French Army, the locomotive was purchased by The Ffestiniog Railway in 1925 for a little under £250 and was named "Moelwyn". After many problems, the engine was almost completely rebuilt as a 2-4-0DM in 1956 and became a mainstay on engineering trains and as a passenger back up before being transferred to the PW Department. In 2016 the locomotive was repainted in a grey livery and given the No. 7011 to represent it's WW1 condition as seen here inside the Bostoin Lodge Works on 5th June 2017.
