Two Intercity-liveried locomotives on differing duties at Carlisle on 2nd 8th August 1990. Class 86 No. 86103 Andre Chapelon waits with a cross country service via Birmingham while Class 90 No. 90005 waits to proceed south with a train of steels coils from British Steel Dalzell works. No. 86103 was withdrawn in 1995 while No. 90005 remains in service on Norwich - Liverpool Street workings.
