The Berks & Hants line has been shut down for 4 days, the first of eight such unpopular disruptions planned for 2018. A day later through trains are just starting to get through by mid-afternoon after an overrun of work between Bedwyn and Westbury. Retro-liveried Class 43 power car No. 43185 'Great Western' is hammering through the 75mph curve at Hungerford leading a Paddington-Penzance service with a clear road ahead on 16th March 2018.
