The North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group's class J27 0-6-0 No. 65894 has been out of service since 2006. Following overhaul, it returned to the NYMR working it's first train on 25th May. Following a formal ceremony to mark it's return, it worked a special charter service from Grosmont at 11.30 on 21st June 2018.
