The Railway Preservation Society's 'Sea Breeze' excursion was hauled from Dublin Connolly to Wexford and return by Irish Rail locomotive 072 on 8th July 2018. The planned motive power, ex GNR(I) 4-4-0 'Merlin' could not be used due to the fire risk caused by unusually high temperatures over the previous fortnight.
