As the heatwave continues, with daily temperatures in the high 20s, Severn Valley Railway is operating a diesel-only service to ensure there is No. fire risk from steam locomotives along its 16-mile route from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. Diesel-hauled services will take passengers in historic carriages, stopping at the heritage railway's quintessentially English stations, halts and The Engine House Visitor Centre, until at least Wednesday 18th July. Class 14 No. D9551 is seen arriving at Highley with service from Bridgnorth on 10th July 2018.
