On the 9th August 2018, a DRS Class 37 No. 37401 "Mary Queen of Scots" is seen making a spirited departure from Workington station. Having arrived as the 14.52 departure from Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle Northern service, which was cancelled at Workington, due to an issue with the train crew. This is very frustrating for the passengers on board, particularly given that this is the well patronised Sellafield workers' service. In this photograph, the train is therefore going forward to Carlisle as empty stock.
