First TransPennine Express Class 185s Nos. 185112 and 185132 pass Carlisle South Junction on the approach to Carlisle on 16th September 2017, forming the 07:51 Manchester Victoria to Edinburgh service. Heading in the opposite direction was Virgin Trains Class 390/1 No. 390107 'Independence Day Resurgence', forming the 06:52 Edinburgh to Preston service (which was subsequently cancelled between Preston and London Euston due to a person being hit by a train).
