The slightly unusual pairing of LNER B1 No. 61306 "Mayflower" and SR Bulleid Merchant Navy No. 35018 "British India Line" are seen at Carlisle on 2nd February 2019. They are about to work the return leg of the Railway Touring Company's "Cumbrian Mountain Express" which they would haul to Preston via the Settle and Carlisle line. On the outbound leg the locos had put in a spectacular performance topping Grayrigg at over 57 mph and Shap at over 46 mph.
