On 6th April 2019, the first day of the South Devon Railway Golden Anniversary Gala, GWR 6400 Class 0-6-0PT No. 6412 re-creates the first train which it hauled on 5th April 1969. It is seen alongside the River Dart on the approach to Hood Bridge with a four coach auto train and carrying a Inaugural Special headboard. This was the 11:15 service from Buckfastleigh to Totnes.
