LNER Class A3 Pacific No. 60103 'Flying Scotsman' passes Earfitts Lane, Copmanthorpe, working the 07:38 London King's Cross to York Service, the first leg of the Railway Touring Company's 'Great Britain X' tour, on 29th April 2017. LNER Class A4 Pacific No. 60009 'Union of South Africa', was due to take over at York and run the second leg to Edinburgh, but this did not happen due to damaged piston rings and WCR Class 47/7 No. 47746 made the run in its place.
