On the 8th August 2019, a pair of DRS Class 68 locomotives, with No. 68017 "Hornet" leading classmate No. 68003 "Astute", are seen passing through platform 1 at Carlisle Citadel Station with; a nuclear flask train from Hunterston Nuclear Power Station to Sellafield. To the left, a DRS Class 57 No. 57309 "Pride of Crewe" acts as the current Carlisle "Thunderbird".
