North Staffordshire Railway 2-A No. 1. Built in 1917 this is an electric shunting locomotive with batteries powering its two electric motors. it was used for 48 years to shunt wagons at the T Bolton & Son works at Oakmoor. Its amazing to think over 100 years later manufacturers are trying to reinvent the same technology. Its pictured on 13th August 2019 at the National Railway Museum York.
