Between 1905 and 1951, a 26" gauge railway line ran between Nikosia and Famagusta (since 1974 in occupied North Cyprus). Built in 1904 by the Hunslet Engine Company No. 1 can be seen on 28th August 2019 standing outside the original Famagusta station building, situated close to the Green Line.
