On the 27th September 2019, during the first day of the Autumn Steam Gala on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, an ex GWR 6959 "Modified Hall" Class locomotive No. 6990 "Witherslack Hall", leads an ex GWR 6000 "King" Class locomotive No. 6023 "King Edward II", up the climb past Darnholm near Goathland on the NYMR, with the 11.24 service from Grosmont to Pickering.
