With the recent demise of the Northern Class 142 "Pacers", the Class 156 "Super Sprinters" are the regular motive power on the Bishop Auckland branch. In this photograph on 23rd December ember 2019, a Northern Class 156 No. 156451, is seen passing Locomotion, the NRM at Shildon, with: the 13.59 Arriva Rail North / Northern service from Saltburn to Bishop Auckland. Visible in the Museum yard are 08911 to the left and 03090 to the right, which passes the head of recently arrived and now preserved Pacer unit No. 142001.
