In the BREL Glasgow Works yard on 3rd June 1978 is Class 120 DMSL No. SC51793. Operating as Inverness Set 304 this vehicle along with sister Class 120 vehicles TBS No. SC59684 and DMBC No. SC51784 had been involved in a serious accident near Oyne on the Aberdeen to Inverness line on 12th May 1978. The DMBC left the track, rolled down an embankment and was subsequently withdrawn, while the TBS suffered serious damage but was repaired. No. 51793 remained on the track undamaged as seen here less than a month after the incident. No. 51793 remained at Inverness TMD until March 1980 when it started migrating south being finally withdrawn from Ayr TMD in June 1986 and scrapped at Vic Berry's yard in Leicester during January 1988.
