On 9th May 2020 Northern Trains operated several empty stock workings using its Class 144 fleet currently stabled on the Keighley & Worth Valley railway after an extensive period out of use due to the Covid-19 crisis. One such working was the 11:20 KWVR - Ilkley - Kirkstall Loop - KWVR which comprised Class 144 No. 144001, 144011, 144013 & 144010, seen sprinting through Menston en route from Ilkley to Kirkstall.
