Wearing the striking Porterbrook purple and silver livery, prototype ETS Class 57/6 No. 57601 arrives at Reading with a Plymouth - Paddington service on 1st August 2001. At the time, this was its regular duty with a return working to Plymouth in the afternoon. Originally converted from Class 47 No. 47825 No. 57601 is now part of the West Coast Rail fleet, is named Windsor Castle and wears Northern Belle livery.
