Wearing Waterman Railways black livery, Class 47 No. 47712 powers the 15.55 Plymouth - Manchester service through Starcross on 18th August 1998. The former D1948 has enjoyed a chequered history having carried four different names and been operated by BR, Waterman Railways, DRS, time in preservation and is now anticipated to return to mainline action with Locomotive Services. It currently wears its previous Scotrail livery and carries Lady Diana Spencer nameplates.
