A pair of unidentified CrossCountry Class 220/221 Voyager units are seen crossing Redbridge Causeway on the outskirts of Southampton while operating the 07:27 Manchester Piccadilly to Bournemouth service on 2nd July 2020. A Class 221 unit is attached to the rear of the leading Class 220 unit to form a nine car train. The number of passengers to have used this train since it left Manchester is not known but the need for a nine car train May have been to satisfy social distancing measures in force at the time this photograph was taken due to the Coronavirus pandemic. These Manchester to Bournemouth services are normally operated by four car Class 220 units only.
