Locomotives on the Wharfedale Line are infrequent but there was visit on 11th February 2021, when DRS Class 37 No. 37422 toured West Yorkshire with a Network Rail inspection diagram which involved checking tunnels for excessive ice as a consequence of the period of cold weather. No. 37422 which has acquired a Victorious nameplate on one side and sports its previous identity of No. 37266 is seen at Guiseley on the 10.31 Leeds - York leg which involved travelling via Apperley Bridge Junction to Guiseley, reverse and then via Baildon to Shipley, reverse again and back to Leeds and York. The locomotive is seen on departure having waited for Northern Class 333 No. 333001 to vacate the single line section from Dockfield Junction with the 10.46 Bradford Forster Square - Ilkley service.
