2021 services on the West Somerset Railway began with three return steam excursions between Bishops Lydeard and Williton on 22nd on 23rd and 25th May. The loco used was WSR Mogul No. 9351, which ran round at Williton, but for the 10:00 train on 25th the loop there was not available so Class 33 No. D6566 was attached to the rear and it ran top-and-tail. Here the down service picks up speed among the spring greenery after the token exchange at Crowcombe Heathfield.
