On 5th June 2021, Northern Class 156 No. 156475 departs from Ulverston with the 17.32 Lancaster - Barrow service and passes the former Furness Railway signal box which dates from 1900. The unusual layout of the 1873 built station can also be glimpsed with its island platform to the left, designed to facilitate easy transfer to trains serving the long closed branch to Lakeside, the northern end of which survives as the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway.
