BR Standard Class 4 4-6-0 No. 75014 "Braveheart" failed while hauling an early afternoon service from Paignton to Kingswear on 28th May 2021. After being assisted by Class 03 No. 03371, the pair are seen in Churston Ssidings, just east of the station on 28th May 2021. Still in light steam, a close look at the front right hand side of No. 75014 seems to reveal some damage to the cylinder casing which May have caused the failure. Services continued for a while, if a little delayed, with Class 37 No. 6975, before USA 2-8-0 No. 2263 "Omaha" took charge for the last round trip of the day.
