The 06.03 XC service from Birmingham New Street to Edinburgh encountered problems on 25th August 2021, and was brought to a halt at Wrenthorpe Wakefield. Class 220s Nos. 220007 and 220017 are depicted running wrong line back to Wakefield Westgate just one mile away where passengers disembarked, and the stricken train returned ECS to Barton Under Needwood.
