In yet another downpour, Virgin liveried Class 86 No 86229 is seen at Long Marston on 6th June. The Virgin Class 86 locomotives were used predominantly on Cross Country workings to/from Birmingham to Northern England & Scotland. 86229 was previously named Lions Club International but carried the name Sir John Betjeman for 15 years previous to that.
